The Importance of Danger

Danger is all around us, everyday, everywhere. We can not get away from it. As animals on this planet, earth, we are subject to the many dangers of life on a daily basis. But we humans are different than many other animals. We bring danger upon ourselves. The fact that we not only put ourselves in dangerous situation, we invite danger into our daily lives. Is this a bad thing? No, not at all. In fact danger is a great part of life. Since humans aren't usually subject to predators we some sort of active force to pick us off and decrease our population a bit. But danger has an even more important impact on a sort of natural selection. Danger seems to follow so closely behind our more stupid human beings. A dangerous activity that many of us take part in every day is driving a car. Driving is simple, but dangerous. We are sitting in a metal shell with wheels traveling at speeds over 60 mph. That is a perfect example of everyday danger. But you will notice that stupid people that do not have the competence to drive, and are too stupid to even realize that they are NOT the only ones on the road are more susceptible to this danger. Humans have been trying to make our daily, dangerous activities safer by inventing things that keep us safer from harm. An example of this is the plastic guards that are located over the blade of circular saws which move out of the way as you push the unit down into the wood, or whatever you are cutting. That piece of plastic was placed there to keep people from coming in contact with the blade when it is on, but not cutting wood. The inventors realized that there are people stupid enough to forget that they have a saw turned on and touch the blade that spins at over 3000 RPM. Labels are also a safety feature on products that should be done away with. It has become law that product have to contain safety information because people are too stupid to realize the danger themselves. In reality, most people do not read safety instructions or safety labels. But when you get to the point where you have to put "Caution: Contents Hot!" on the outside of a coffee cup then I would say that it has gone too far. If you are too absent minded to not realize that the coffee you just bought just might be hot, then you deserve to get burnt by it. Our world is a crazy place now days. It seems that we are being taken over by unintelligent people. Danger is magnificent due to what it does to the mass of inelegant people. The inelegant people, however, also suffer from the dumb population being...well, dumb. We suffer because, back to my example of driving, not only do stupid people heighten the danger of death or serious injury, they also heighten everyone else's risk. Stupid people is the leading cause of death in smart people. There is nowhere to hide from stupid people and the danger that they inflict on us. The bottom line is this: Danger is an important part of our life as humans, even though most of our danger is self inflicted. It is important because with out it more idiots would be thriving. But it is also very sad that low-life, stupid, idiotic people tend to procreate the most in this country. This means that stupid people are creating more stupid people, and this trend just continues. A great example of this is actually a personal experience from my life; my cousin who has 5 kids now is a class A idiot. She gives birth more often than she takes showers nowadays. But to the point...She flirts with danger, so to speak, by sleeping with many men, as often as possible. She even fell in love with the man who sexual assaulted her daughter, and if that wasn't enough, she continues leaver he daughter with the pedophile more often than not. If this is not an example of (1) stupid people having too many kids (2) being so stupid that they not only put themselves in danger and (3) Being more prone to what we would call "Danger." We need more self induced freak accidents that claim the life of stupid and incompetent people. If only we could do away with safety warnings and little plastic shields over circular saws so that more stupid people kill themselves. The world would be such a better place. And with that, I leave you now. I will write again later and give specific events in which stupid people kill or injure themselves through dangerous acts that any competent person would have avoided.
